Lot of the guys who want decent around town handling as well as excellent wheeling run Goodyear MTR's.  They are excellent for rocky New England conditions and very quiet (compared to other tires) and aldo have a approximate 50k mile rating.  If you shop around, you can find good deals on them (I paid $144/each SHIPPED from a baja truck fabrication place in California - I forgot the name of the place) and not pay the $200 each you find retail around here.  BTW - thoe price is for 33x12.5

Mine have treated me well thus far

My last jeep had a set of 33 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on it. they treated me very well for about 2 years till I sold the jeep, they wear well and are reasonably quiet on the road. I don't really know about prices cause I bought mine used. the only complaint I had about them was the thin sidewall, I tore one up on some nasty rocks. but it seems like the Goodyears are the way to go, I saw a lot more of them around before I left.

thanks guys..I'm lookin at the dunlop mud rovers right now they seems pretty good and low in price. just wondering if any of you guys have heard anything good about these.
thanks

I'd go with the Maxxis Bighorns before buying the Dunlops.  I've seen these things in action with Detours rig!  Those are the best tire for the money and is what I recommend if you are in the market for a good all around mud tire!

I had Dunlop Rover ATs for a couple years. I loved them. When they wore out I sold them and went to Swampers.

seeing as we all have really abnormal size tires.... compared to everyday communter car size tires.... i would be curious as to how you guys dispose of all of these tires after the miles have sunk in and the tread life is.....Gone... i mean when i buy tires for my truck they charge me a disposal fee, around $1 dollar a tire at Wally's... is it the same for say a 36" bogger thats worn? never had to deal with that issue yet....
