I am buying some used control arms from a friend in CA. I'll be getting the front Currie uppers and lowers and a set of Teraflex rear lowers. My question is, is there anything that can wear out on aftermarket control arms. He sold them to me because he bought a RELA kit.

The johnny joints on the Currie arms can wear out, so to speak. I got a set of rear uppers that were siezed. It's a PITA but you can take the joints apart and grease them...if you have a press and the right tools it wouldn't take more than a couple hours for the two pairs.

I think the Teraflex arms have rubber bushings, those need no maintenence.

The new Teraflex arms have Poly, they will require greasing to, have to use a non mineral based grease...

They also have issues if you do not grease the center pivot... it has a grease fitting... most of the issues I have read are people complaining about forgetting to grease them regularly..
