When testing for a voltage leak do I use the test light from the battery post to the clamp on the positive side, negative side or doesn't it matter?

Explain a little more. Not sure how you're trying to test for a voltage leak.

He's trying to use a test light to deterimine if something is draining his battery.

I use the postive side and start pulling out fuses one at time if the light is on, determining that you do have a draw.

When the light goes out, thats where your problem is, in whatever circuit the fuse was on.

Thanks, it isn't going to be much of a mystery where the leak is coming from since I fried another radio caught in the rain. I just want to be sure that is the only leak. Glad I sprung for the insurance when I bought the radio, so this one's on Best Buy. . First time I ever got the insurance on an electronic, phew. Going with the marine version this time. Screw the top!

In fact, I'm not going to wear any socks with my shoes today I'm feelin' so crazy.
