My 98 TJ wanders. I have replaced all ends that even remotely seamed loose. I have a 89 xj box with low miles on it, I want to know if it is the same as the o.e.m.  Any help would be appreciated.

lotsa things to check, the steering box may be overtight, like detour said tire pressure may be in effect, as steve mentioned alignment and track bar might be culprits also

thanks guy's for your input, does anyone know if the steering box will fit?? most of the idea's offered have already been addressed

Well if it helps at all....

Trackbars can only (usually if not too worn) be checked only with the front wheels on the ground, have a friend move the steering wheel back and forth quickly with the engine running.

If anything is loose you may see, hear or even feel it.

The reason for this is, if the front tires are off the ground there is just no slack given up. (it'll go against wherever it's worn).

how about control arms? check all the bushings at both the axle end and fram end.
