Warns New XJ TC Skid Plate

Anyone seen this? It looks nice but I called them to see if it would fit the NP242 select trac and they had no idea! What a bunch of dopes.

Has anyone else called Warn with the same question?

i was just looking at their rear bumper a tire carrier. it looks ok until you see the price. so i went of to c4x4 and looked at theirs, half the price, looks better and you can have it made how you want it...

I asked Warn about the price and they said it retailed for around $90 bucks.

The most important question is will it fit the 242? If they don't know, how are we to know.

I was looking at how it must mount and it is for a stock jeep from what i can see. Looks like to the tranny mount and one side of the subframe not too solid if you ask me.

I went to a fab shop yesterday and talk to the guy for a while about it. I'm dropping the jeep off tomorrow and he is going to make a template with sheet metal then use the plasma cutter to finalize one out of 1/8 inch steel.

He is going to custom fit it around my skyjacker lift and my detour Rok Slyders. I'll take pictures and update as we go. Wish me luck! I told him to make it so it will fit both TCs and then I can send people to him for one of there own. He's pretty anal when it comes to this stuff so it will be interesting when he's done with it.
