does anyone know what u can and can't do with jeeps 8yrs/80,000mile warranty just bougt 01TJ and looking to go up with it :D

It's at the particular dealer's discretion. Most dealers are not going to want to do any favors for you if you have suspension modifications. Some are lift-friendly, most are not.

I wouldn't count on being able to collect on much after you modify the suspension- especially with the drivetrain, which will have problems first.

I say go ahead and lift it. What's the point in buying a TJ and paying on it for years to not be able to go out and really wheel it? If you lift yours and put 31's on, you're really not going to have problems and since you have a D44 you have no worries!

First off lifts are totally at teh descresion of the dealership and what they will warrantee and what they will not. So really you should shop the dealerships and see who will do what. It is also going to depend on the lift.. If it is a short arm you are going to have a better chance of geting warrantee on some items where as a Long Arm really destroys your warrantee. The other thing to remember that a lift will not void the entire warrantee on the vehicle by law.

What type of warrantee is the 80/80? is it a Bumper to Bumper or Powertrain? Most likely a powertrain. So a suspension lift should not really void the powertrain unless you put larger tires on it. With larger tires, you are going to void the axles and maybe the transfercase and transmission. All this is still at the dealerships discresion.

The dealer is supose to warrantee the items unless they can prove the modification caused the failure. On the other hand, I agree that some dealers see the modifications and will not touch the jeep.
