What's in YOUR differential?

Valvoline 80-w-90, non-synthetic. 'nuff said.

I buy it in five gallon buckets and use a barrel pump to get it into the diffs. I change it at least a few times a year, so there's no question of running contaminated oil in there.

API GL-5 75W-140 Synthetic, in 5 gallon pails,
Changed every 12,500 miles.......
After much trail and error, I have a old
electric drill pump that makes it easy.....

depends on the axle.

Rubi needs synthetic 140

YJ uses 90

I don't buy anything expensive for the YJ because for as many times as I change it, it just ain't worth the expensive stuff like RedLine.

napa's cheapest. As for how often, when I get around to it but probably twice a year. If you avoid water crossings, then water can't get in.

I don't know :why:...but I'm glad this thread was brought up...i bet since the previous owner never took it off road, mine has never been changed.....I probably should do it now. :yup:

If you want let me know when you want to change it, I can lend a hand, and hopefully help you avoid some of my mistakes..

Just changed mine when I put the Rockcrushers on. Using Royal Purple 75-140 with the lubelockers. So far no leaks! I just gotta avoid the water crossings because this crap it too expensive to change out anytime soon.

Vavoline75-90w free from work with BG additive. I then procede to mix spider gear chunks and carrier bearing shavings into it while driving it daily. Im on my 3rd D35.

OIL???? In the event I break something I choose to run nothing---no spillage that way  Besides, everyone says 60's and 14 bolts are to heavy, oil only makes it worst!!!!!!
