whinch and side mount connectors

the  ep 9  is on the way. sooo  i was going to get a yellow top  what i was wonering is  on the yellow top  is it ok to side mount  the winch lines

i don't think they allow for enough current through them, so they suggest not to side mount winches.

so  i should side mount the truck and top mount the  winch  or make up custom wires

It's about damn time!!!  Yeah, just piggy back the winch cables to the top mounts.  If you want, you can get new cables made up and mount the Jeep cables to the side terminals.  The amperage draw from the winch is too much for the side mount terminals.  The starter is only a momentary peak draw whereas the winch is a high draw for sustained periods of time.

Yeah what read, change the Jeep to the GM style side mount... and make the winch the top mount....
