Ok - so I want to mount some mirror movers for the YJ and need to remove 2 windshield hing bolts - they break free and spin - do I have to fold down the windshield to reach the nuts? If so is it just the inside pivot bolt and the 4 rollbar bolts - and then it will "fold" down?

94 YJ

Thanks for the help -

So of course they are the two on the "front" windshield frame side. Why would this be easy? At this point I think I will hold off on the "movers" as it seems like a lot more work than it's worth - if there is no access to the bolt once the frame is down - I believe you said I would have to do some cutting just to get at the bolts.................. :x

I got lucky on this one - they are on the front lower section, and I can get a wrench on the passenger side but WTF? who can get at the driver side from inside...... I need a carnie from the midway! somebody with very small hands who can hold a wrench!

Looks like a lot to move just to get some mirror movers in place - but I will take a shoot at it............

not a good job for BIG

Good luck, I tried to hire a whole waiter staff of "little carnies" with tuxedo's for my brother's wedding reception last year, but no luck in finding a crew. :(

I skipped using the factory bolts and just drilled new holes in the mover bracket and winshield hinge and used some self tapping bolts. Saved me a bunch of time and headaches (and kidnapping charges for the carnes with small hands...)

I just put foglight mounts in the same spot, I had to pull the dash off and slide it out along the steering column to reach the nuts on the driver side.
