wheel master cylinder or wheel mounting surface?  I think it is mounting surface

WMS is used to measure the axle width.  Wheel Mounting Surface.  Its the face of the drum or rotor

cool thanks. thought i stumped the panel !! was asking because i need to cut up a f250 high pinion 44 i scored from crushtheoger. neck it down to 61" wms to wms so my wagoneer guts will slip in. i'll still need a new ring and pinion. any good web sites on this tube cutting mod?

Thats not exactly a technically easy project.  Requires that you use a bit of precision and a lot of jigging to make sure everything stays square.
