Wrench Fest Work Lists

Well we are all set to have a NEJeep wrench fest in the next few weeks, there will be a new post with directions, times and dates provided then.

This thread is to come up with a list of items to be worked on. So if you have a bumper, CB, toy, gizmo's, or whatever, please post it up here.
Again this open to everyone so feel free to join us.

So you know, this event can also handle lift installs, my record so far is 2 lifts in one wrenching... (this excludes long arm and FT  )

So start your lists....

xj-
- locate front wobble, squeak, and clunk and hopefully remedy.
- bolt (probably box steel) in the void where my rear bumper was.
- Detachable front doors? (I'll print out the write up)
- imitation rockratz rock sliders.
- if I can get the cheapo rhino lining, pull the carpets and slop it in.
- We'll see what else I can come up with.
yj- 4.2L
- clutch (God willing)
- (no wrenches involved, but a lot of black spray paint)
- wiring for windshield bracket lights.
- I'm sure he's got a few more things.

Hmmm, I've got a new tire rod I've been putting off because I'm too lazy/cold temps to do. Or I could buy something to put on.

Where do I start.
Find clunking in rear shock area. Probably replace rear shocks.

I could use to get a set of DropKicks from Detour
A CB installed and if I ever decide on what to do with a lift

I need to remove my front bumper and install the factory tow hook adapters. Shouldn't be too bad, just need a couple of people to hold bumper up (lights are bolted directly, no connectors). Let me know beforehand, so I can bring some tools home from work.

OK........Find front clunk noise(poss broke control arm)
Install cb bracket & cb,
Rip out all carpeting(stupid sponge)
Regain 4-low
Install poisen spyder steer skid
Install warn engine skid
Mount Hi-lift
Rotate tires
Adjust steering stops(got side rubbage)
Wire up KC lights.........

Prob other stuuf but thats for starters. Bull.

Swap in Dynatrac 60 rear, hack fenders off and fab custom tube fenders that tie into cage, install Atlas II t-case and NV4500 combo. I think thats about it.

All in a days work too, right

You sure there's nothing else?

 6" lift on MJ, front only: swap out D30, UCA's & LCA's, Coils, Adj Trackbar, Disco's and Shocks. I'll have the rear SOA before hand....not for at least a month away but I have all parts already except the D30. :)

i've got the following:

-FT 6" long arm XJ kit
-SYE/driveshaft
-think i need a new axle seal
-flares put on
-wheel well liners put in
-high lift jack mounted either on or under back seat
-t-case skid
-rear receiver hitch, if i get it from xjmark

ps> donny, the bumper/towhooks are pretty straight forward.

-red-

I have a 1" body lift and motor mount spacer that i would like to get installed.
The body lift seems to be simple enough but I've heard horror stories about doing motor mount lifts. Would be nice to have lots of help if things get ugly.

Here is a list so far, looks like this will take 2 days, but we should be able to as long as we get some good helping hands

I put a Red OK if it is something that can be done at a WF for this location.

The Red NO is something that will usually require a lot more work and will either need more time, or tools not available at this location.

Red Maybe, well it means maybe..

Be sure to read the comments after the colors

Is there time for a JKS 1.25" BL and M.O.R.E MML for my Rubicon? The MML is what I am more worried about. :? Should I just do the JKS MML spacers instead?

3.5 BDS?<OK> However that will require me to be married to the Lift and help no one else... I think it may be better suited for a separate event.. we will work something out.

Should I just do the JKS MML spacers instead? : I have both, the MORE Torsion Rubber on the YJ, and the spacer on the Rubi, do the spacer... less vibes, get JKS, or Goferit

I understand about the "time issue" with the lift - maybe another time... I still want to show up - watch, learn, help.... Also - let me know about the shackels as I am ordering up the rest of the items for the lift.

How about a motor swap. My cherokee needs a new motor and I have another waiting.

   Just kidding, I wouldn't do that to you guys. I am going to do it but not at a wrench fest.
