WRENCHFEST!!! Suday March, 19th

NEJEEP will be hosting its first Wrenchfest of the year on Sunday March, 19th.  It will be held at Detours Mfg. World Headquarters.  (Directions to follow)  We already have a lot planned for the day.  All those who are interested, please post on this thread what you would like to accomplish.  Keep in mind, this will be a 1 Day event.  Due to the location of the WrenchFest being at a place of business, all vehicles must be out of the shop and parking area by 5:30PM.  NO EXEPTIONS!!!  If a vehicle is unable to drive away, It will need to be towed.  Again, please post what you would like to do at the WrenchFest.  Any questions may be asked here (lets keep it on topic).  I am also available for specifics by PM.  Please watch this first post for updates.  (There will be many).

I'll be there to help out!  Tina I've been thinking the same thing for my lower control brackets.  Did you buy some weld on tabs or are you just going to use scrap steel.

I was going to wait and see if Detour might reccomend which way to go. I would rather buy something from him if I could.

I'd love to get and lend a hand. I have the RE Budget Boost to install and a T-case drop on my 98 XJ.

Gorilla, do you have the likage that goes to the transfercase pivot lever?  It came with my drop kit from Superlift.  Also it is a good idea to get new bushings for the drop linkage.  On second thought, you may not need to even drop the t-case with only a 2" boost.  Did you get AAL's or shackles?

I don't have the linkage stuff or the T-Case drop. I can order it and have it for the Wrenchfest. I got AAL's, but I didn't realize that the RE kit came with short AAL's. I'm ordering Full Length AAL's now.

If I can get away without a T-case drip. that would be cool. Should I wait until after the lift and see if the vibes are bad?

Hey guys being new to this forum i would be willing to help in any way.... XJ's are my specialty even though it is somewhat limited based on my own lift and maintenance. but i have a big projectin mind. Engine Swap?? if it would be fesible let me know.

Jmazz, welcome to the board.  Engine swaps are definitely in our repertoire.  However, not at this one.  Engine swaps are usually done on an individual basis.  Keep checking back, or better yet join up. :mrgreen:  BTW, check your other thread about the t-case issue.

What kind of Sliders?  That and the Light bar will probably be doable.  Bring the locker with you.  We'll see what we can do.  BTW, what kind of locker?
