Xfer Case Flip Adapter...

Has anyone ever seen (I am pretty sure they exist) a transfer case flip adapter for a Dana 300?

I want to use a Waggy D44 front for the new jeep but the drop is opposite from the D30 that is in there now.

Any ideas? Another Xfer case maybe?

this is what you are looking for. They are not the cheapest. I know people that have done this for YJ's and after all said and done they have made the comment it would have probably been easier to go with an Atlas

I know a guy selling a dana 300 with the flip kit already installed. I think it is going for 600.
 
I checked out the flip kit and am waiting a call back on the price. I see the point about being cheaper to go with an Atlas...

Jon - if your buddy wants $600 for the entire Xfer case I am guessing that the flip kit will be pretty expensive.

All in all the price may put it out of my league...I was looking for a way to use the waggy setup instead of stock for short money.

Other things you will have to consider I believe is the Crossmember will mostl likely need to be modified. Otherwise it should be fairly straight foward in a CJ. I know in a YJ you have to do something with the Vacuum disconnect as well

just google search "Dana 300 Flip Kit" and you should come up with plenty of hits

Don't aggrevate yourself with the flip kit and other issues, look for a 44 from a late '70's wagoneer or cherokee and it should have a passager side drop. (not sure about the cherokee).

I had thought about going that route but already had the setup out of the waggy so didn't want to have to buy new stuff.

In the end I will probably have to stay with stock...I wanted to go to the bigger and wider axles but oh well...

Is there any xfer case that will bolt to the T-5 Xmission that will change the drop?
 
The 231 will bolt in place of the Dana 300. But i dont know if you would really want to go the route. Also, if you are running the 6cyl the t-5 should be ok for a while. But the bigger you go and harder you wheel it the faster the t-5 will blow up.

I swapped the t-18 in with a dana 20 t-case for now after i blew up my t-5

Really I'd like to swap over to an auto tranny but that isn't in the cards (wallet actually) right now.

Lots I'd like to do...still trying to figure out the axles...
