XJ Extended Brake Lines

Anybody got any suggestions of where to get extended breaklines for an XJ with 5 inches of lift?

Frank knows a place that can fab them up but how long do i make them?  Dont want too much brake line.  Seen that problem on the trail once before!

YJ's are even longer than TJs

I used dodge dakota lines front and rear in my YJ.

For the fronts you can just unbolt the line, flex it all the way, and then find a new spot to bolt the line in.  Or you can just leave the bolt out.

Bruce, that's kinda what I did.  Unbolt the torx bolt holding the line at the steel line and the flex line.  Straighten out the steel line so it goes straight down parallel with the shock.  About an inch rearward of the shock.  Then drill two holes.  One for the tab on the bracket, and one for the bolt.  Remember, for the bolt, it's thin sheet metal.  Use a smaller drill bit and screw the bolt right into it.  I did that on mine (4.5" lift) and I still have plenty of flexline left at full flex.  I'd go that route first.  Just be sure to check it with a buddy.

My hard brake line looks a little old and crusty,  I was planning on bending them straight but was a little concerned.  Maybe I get brave and try it this weekend.

I'm probably just going to replace them anyway.  One of the line that are on the jeep now is twisted.  Bad install.  not to mention the other one is original.
