I told mark to smile at one of the post but i couldn't zoom in fast.  Mark did great at the event doing all of the opsticals. one of the rock pipes it almost went over but they worked the wench truck to pull them the other way.   also xj mark got 2nd place out of 20 plus in his modifid class.  P.s I very jealous of the coil suspention that you have on the xj. it worked great.

I'll have to figure out what's up with my camera and try to post some pics that ctgranite took for me. I was taking some buld-up pics at 5:00am after working all night on the rig, and pressed some buttons that wiped out about 170 saved pics off of the memory stick. :swear_mad:
Now it's only letting me take 30 or so before it says it's full.
Gadgets.

One observation I made was that Mark and Michael really thought things through. For instance, the spotters have to use a strap to try and shake a vehicle loose. Some teams didn't have straps, some had to find the one strap and tie it on. Meanwhile, Miark and Michael had 2 straps already tied to the cage. When they needed it, it was right there. No time loss F'n with it. Thinking Mans Rock Crawing... Sweet

Thanks Pete, I clicked on the pic, and clicked on your homepage. Nice pics.
The TPI setup looks great. Any thoughts of running yours at the show next year?

Rey, the spotter's straps worked out great. I was supposed to go buy a 20'x2" tow strap for that purpose, and forgot, so I used whatever I had in the garage at the last minuite. Just happened to be a set of ratchet straps nearby.
I'll have synthetic winch line for next year. They didn't require a weight bag for that, so more time saved.

I was thinking of running it  but it was the first time last weekend i took it out also whst to work out the little bugs out of it.  Also Mike young told me that last year just about all the leaf spring jeeps flopped on there side.  But mark and toyworks looked like pros because they used the spoter right from the begining and talking to each other and mark didn't rev and beat the piss out of the jeep when he was in a tight bind.  Also what is that Two winns for Ne Jeep.

Who ended up with 1st?
Mike Young. He's wheeled with us before, and has been a club member. Goes by the name JEEPBIG and wheels a TJ. He and CJPETEY have been to a few of our wheeling runs in the mohawk region. Remember the two huge yellow jeeps? :grinyes:

Mark,  this year they were lax on it but last few years they have made you run winch weights on the synth.  Also they didn't charge me any time to put the weight on.  and stopped the clock when the weight needed to be repostioned.

That's good to know about stopping the clock for throwing on a winch weight or repositioning. When it came down to it, I'd most likely still use a weight with synthetic.
One side of my winch bag ripped open after the first obstacle, but somehow kept some of it's contents in there for the next two winch sessions.  I had little rocks jumping all over the floor.

I bought it from Domenic's at last year's DWE show. He warrantied the winch weight with a new one when I mentioned it to him. I'm sure there's no warranty on those things, but he exchanged it for a new one anyway.
Domenic is one hell of a guy that does a lot for our sport. Before you mail-order something, give him a call, and support the business that supports us.Domenic's Auto and Jeep
