XJ rear swaybar question

Is anyone running without the rear sway bar? I have only seen one place that had rear sway bar disco's. I have JKS's in the front. Always connected when on-roading. Wondering what kind of weebleing I am in for if I take out the "StiffyRod". Any ideas?

Mine didn't have the rear bar and my XJ came with the "offroad/towing" package from the factory. It will reduce flex.
I haven't run a swaybar up front in almost two years now, but it's not my daily driver. It sways alot when braking into a corner, or turning quickly.

I say get rid of it.

I pulled mine off and you wont notice it onroad, but offroad there will be much more flex! SWEET! 8)

My 87 didn't come with one. The 89 I had, i removed it. Helped put a 3" Rusty's on about 3 months ago on a 01, we chucked his in the trash.

Run without the rear, you won't notice.

I put a rusty's 4.5 on my cherokee and it oversteered badly until I removed the rear swaybar.

I havent had a front sway bar in two years. No problems As far as the rear Removed it 3 weeks ago. Again no problem. And my xj is a daily driver.

Damn, I forgot I posted this. Well the rear bar will be coming out tomorrow when I change the tires and rotate the oil. Thanks for the help guys.

I have heard of doing that. The engines with the oil rotated last much longer. :lol:

And I thought the oil rotated on it's own with the engine running, must mean the oil pump is working I guess :lol:

I had a car where you would fill the oil and check the gas before a trip. :roll:
