ZJ Springs in a TJ ?

While talking parts and plans, a question was raised, Can stock ZJ springs
be used to gain a few inches in a TJ. If so what are the pros-cons of this
set-up...
thanks,

I think they'll give 3/4-1.5" lift.

I've recently installed a couple of Rusty's lift kits. One was a 3" on a ZJ...front coils were "Rusty405". That's a soft 4.5" lift coil for XJ, and obviously 3" for ZJ. The other one was a 2" kit on a TJ...the coils were marked as 2".

This tells me that ZJ's sit 1.5" taller than either XJ's or TJ's :grinyes:

ZJ V8 springs will net you three inches in the front, you then take your current front springs and put them in the rear for the three inchs, cheap easy three inch lift

I'd think that while it's a cheap lift, it'd be hard and thus not flex particularly well.  Along with a harsh ride too

Actually from what I have read and heard it actually works quite well.
People report good amount of Flex and barely a noticable change in
ride quality....
