NEJEEP 2017 Toys For Tots Drive

Got my decorating plan together but a change of schedule for the day means I won't be able to get there though until 11:30-12:00.  First time there for it so I didn't know if timing made any difference for parking or anything.

Parking it going to be first come first serve.
We really can't "rope off" an area in front of the store, since it will be open to customers.

What we did last year was shuffle jeeps around when a spot upfront opened up.

I figured there was some parking plan like that. That plaza gets crazy between now and the new year.

Yeah,  we are putting cones up this year as well.

Can't make it... I'll be in NYC for the weekend.

Quick question though, if we order stuff online for in-store pickup for that day, would someone be able to get it without us there???

Usually they want ID, but if you put a note in the order with my name for pick up and that it's for the TFT event, I can grab it for you and put it in the pile.

What a spectacular day at NEJeep’s Annual Toys For Tots Drive at Toys"R"Us in Manchester, CT for The Marine Corps Toys For Tots! We had a reindeer, we had elves, we had Santa's helpers, and of course, we had Santa, but we even had Geoffrey the Giraffe. Most importantly, we had tons of smiles and tons of toys donated! Yes, that's FIFTEEN carts full, surpassing last years total by 3 carts! A good part of that was due to the incredible generosity of the young men from the UConn Car Club! An incredible job planning and executing by Rob and the team. Thank you!

Great turn out again!

Thanks to everyone the turn out and helped for this event.

If I had to speculate the dollar value for the toys collected.  I’d say somewhere between $4-5K

I love this event.  Our daughter gets an early impression and experience helping people.  it is hard for a five year old to see all those gifts sitting there and digest the fact that they are not for her.  the generosity of all who attended and donated is extremely humbling.

What a wonderful job everyone did!!!!  Sorry we could not be there to join you.  I had to be in RI with my daughter yesterday and Chris had a Masonic meeting all day.    I hope we can make it next year.

It was great for Journey to be able to see it and take part in helping people at an early age.  Not only that, a lot of kids who walked out of that store with gifts to leave with us likely had conversations with their families about what they and we were doing and why.  I see the results of conversations and experiences like that show up with the students I work with.

Hands down Rey (and by Rey I mean Laura), wins Christmas this year.
