Hey all,

Not sure if anyone would remember me but my name is Pat and I'm from the CT shoreline.  I've been in Boston for 3 years attending Northeastern.  I am taking the summer off and look forward to getting back into a jeep.  I have a 1990 YJ with 50k ORIGINAL miles on the clock.  31" BFG AT's, Detours sidekicks, new paint, new interior, custom toolbox/sub enclosure.  Im planning on selling the YJ at some point this summer and buying another XJ or ZJ as they are easier to secure in the city and I want to bring a car back home when I return in Sept.  Anyway I hope to post more often and maybe see some familiar faces over the summer.

Cheers,
Pat

hey pat... im also from the shoreline area so if your ever looking for someone to ggo bomb some local trails hit me up. also i would def buy your yj with only 50 k on it!!!!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

thanks for the welcome,  I may just take you up on that.  I have enough friends with trail worthy rigs to tag along.

Pat - it's good to hear your back for the summer.  North Eastern is a nice campus.  I hope the hard top worked out.  A 90 YJ Islander package with less than 50K is a find  - you should post the nice history off shores

HEY!  hows it going?  The hardtop worked out awesome along with the full doors i picked up off of CJRon (never quite got the latches to work right but i never cared).  What I'm really looking forward to is riding top and doorless!!!

For anyone who is interested the "off-shore history" he is talking about goes as such....

My jeep was purchased new in 1990 from a dealership in Branford.  From there it was shipped directly to Saint Croix where it remained as a vacation rig until 2001 when the original owner sold his vacation home.  It sat in his yard under a tarp until 2004 when I bought it.  At the time I purchased the jeep it had 41000k on the odometer.  A rare find.  I've done a ton of work since mostly revamping the interior, new paint, some engine maintenance etc.

Cheers

thats a hell of a find.. i wish i found something like that since i bought mine with 170,000 on it but it runs like a champ and it was only $800.00 so love it just the same!!!!!!!
