Or make the brown truck the lightweight spicy truck and make the white truck the Towing truck it wants to be

We drove around quite a bit today (Pre DMV appointment. Don't tell on us.)

Tom is so excited and has to show it off to everyone we know.

Almost went to the car show at Rentschler Field, but Tom isn't ready to take it on the highway yet.

It's very enjoyable to ride in and I'm quickly falling in love with everyone waving lol

We had steps delivered and hated them so we returned those and went with the black nerf bar and they get delivered on Tuesday. Also have two replacement side mirrors to go on and a review mirror getting delivered today.

It's been a super long time since a post was made, but clearly the truck is on the road... Well kind of.. not in the eyes of the law. Since the last update the rear of the truck has obviously been finished. The rear frame was much worse than I expected and also too short for what was correct.

Repairing and rebuilding the frame took a lot of time, besides the rust some tooling for the press brake has to be made to form the new frame rail sections.

The bed mounts were next once the fuel tanks were back in their home and not held up by ratchet straps. The rear fuel tank also has a funny story behind it, now that it's behind us.

Once the bed was back on the truck there was a lot of trial and error getting the body lines correct. It required a bunch of shimming and jacking and finesse

More pics, the rear was really very strait forward just a lot of rust repair and bull work. I cannot emphasize enough how happy I was to have that behind me !

Once the bed was on the truck we started to get ballsy driving it around the neighborhood, it drove well and there were very few tweaks and repairs needed. The biggest thing it needs now is a set of injectors. It smokes like a middle aged woman at a biker bar on first startup. We have just over 350 miles on it and it's wicked cool !

A special shout-out to Derek Custer and Jerry in the club. Many of you may not have met Jerry other than seeing him on the forum. His fine collection of aging Econoline Ford vans contributed immensely to this project. The most noticable is the rims. He had 4 great condition steel rims that Derek was able to sandblast and powercoat and totally nail the color on ! It really made the look
