I know my 98 Grand Cherokee 5.2 was a blast to drive in the snow with AWD.  I always ran good snow tires in the winter on it.

When I would plow I'd have to move the Jeeps from driveway to driveway, maybe 125 feet.  I'd back out in the road and put the thing to the floor and spin the tires all the way to the second driveway, lock it it up and turn in the other driveway. I can't tell you how many times I did that.  When we got my wife's 2003 4.7 H.O., again AWD I did the same thing and that 4.7 had some serious nut.  When I went to lock up the brakes and turn, the dam thing had ABS and I didn't stop until half way to my neighbors house.  I'm glad I didn't start turning before slamming on the brakes.
