Rep Rob Sampson's response on FB to the Illegal ATV use discussed in this article... http://www.myrecordjournal.com/news/northhavencitizen/northhavennews/8999066-154/north-haven-takes-steps-to-curb-illegal-atv-use.html

If you register your ATV you can ride in Pachaug State Park and Shenipsit State Forest.

Not that I've ever gone there, but technically.....

They have to bee street legal... So no Quads... registered dual sport dirt bikes are okay, and if you can find a way to get your side by side street legal I guess that would be allowed too...

And Shenipsit is only legal for DEEP sanctioned events (once or twice a year)

I ride with a group occasionally on our dirt bikes.  Does anyone here ride Pachaug?  Or Thomaston?  Netra?

COREC is making strides. They already have already secured a piece of land.

Seems that way. I was thinking about bringing it up to the BOD how they should discuss the club joining their efforts.

I feel you have received bad information. When I have time, I will sit down and explain why it can and how it will happen. We've already identified exactly the process that is needed to be successful and we've already started to institute this process. ATV's are such a hot topic because of all the complaints, not because of the people fighting for their rights to public lands. Now the tables are beginning to turn but if these ATV guys don't get off their butts and start being organized and go vote, I'm not sure how much we can really do for them. It takes people to make a difference, not just a state organization.

I can get agricultural plates for a side by side which allows me street use.  Does that count?
