I used to make the trip from S Windsor to Burlington several times each year and after looking at google maps I am going to guess 2.5 hrs each way and at least $100 in gas round trip. I will prob still go but its going to hurt a bit more this year to play.

First post updated with more info.

The Jaffrey Inn is a cool venue for the GTD! They have lots of trails right on their own property and are 4x4 friendly, having hosted events in the past for Land Rover groups, Hummer groups, Jeep groups and more. Make a weekend out of it and wheel Sunday too...should be a pretty wicked time.

Well it does state "Camping available with advance reservation". Wonder what the situation is like. Anyone else interested in maybe making it a weekend event? Try and wheel Sat + Sun? It would at least make the trip a bit more worth it.

There's not much more info to give. It's a rally style event that will run from some time in the AM to some time in the PM (or beer:30 whichever comes first) on Saturday. There will be vendors booths and club booths, RTI ramps, trail rides, helicopter rides, BBQ and tons of Jeeps.

Anything beyond that everyone's on their own to plan. Where to stay or where to camp - I bet there's plenty of motels and campgrounds in the area in addition to the Inn itself. For wheeling on Sunday there are public access class 6 roads in the area, if you don't know them then you would need to hook up with somebody who does.

Route 124...not even a mile from the Inn.... $23 a night...
