I raced those year ago in a XJ... had a blast, to bad our Jeeps will only fit into the highly modified class because of the suspension.  Makes no since to run against someone who is running a highly modified engine.

The "stock" 6 cyl class was 3 lifted xj's and 2 lifted tj's.  The stock v8 class had a Durango and a z71 extended cab Chevy.

Only way we would ever have fun is if we ran our Tow rigs.  I ran a Locked F/R XJ with boggers in the rear and m/t in the front  and was neck to neck with what looked like a stock Toyota.

Our Susp mods put us into the big motor class.  Its stupid

I wonder if they changed the rules about the lifts and go by engine now? I will ask at Topless day when I'm up there.

How did the Cherokees and TJ's do on the hill?  Were they built like ours?

The tj's made it.  The xj's got stuck one at 3/4 way up one at 7/8 way up the 3rd I missed.  I have a crap load of pics, when I get a minute I'll post some.

I was talking to a guy up there 2 topless years ago and he said a stock TJ would make it about 3/4 up the hill.  I ran it in a stock 304 CJ-7 with 31 inch Swampers and had no problems making it up.  The guy I raced against had a built 6 cylinder CJ-7 with paddles and he beat me by half the hill.  I ran it again with 31 inch paddles on my rear and the same guy beat me by 1/2 a Jeep length.  The tires made that much difference on that hill.

I always wanted to try the Red Jeep on that hill.

I recognize a few of those Jeeps from Southwick.

I would run my TJ, I even have 30" Paddles for the rear and Cut Boggers for the front.  Worse comes to worse I will run 4 31" Boggers

We should do a NEJEEP race day at Monson!!  We can rotate the boggers to everyone in the club and weed out the competition.

With all the armor that's going on my LJ in the next month its going to be a pig and prob would just bury itself off the starting line

Wonder how a TJ with 4.56's would do with 31's?  Gearing wise, I might be able to run high range. 

I ran Low 2nd gear wide open with a XJ with 31's, third was not an option
