Bought this Jeep to help my cousin out of a jam, and it's got a bit more wrong with it than I can handle. It has been sideswiped or something, before I bought it, and that has really messed up the alignment and front axle.
It's got the 4.0l engine, runs quite smooth and quiet. Has selectable 2hi/4hi/4lo/AWD. Has clearly spent a good portion of it's life in a less salt-prone state than here in the Northeast, as the underside is quite clean, only showing surface rust but no rot.
Issues:
-Cracked windshield
-Driver's side door wiring harness is damaged
-Bent front axle tube
-Tires are completely shot
-Bumper is cracked and missing pieces, and some damage to right front quarter panel and door. I've sanded the rust on the damaged bits, and put a coat of silver spray paint over the damaged bit, just to keep it from getting worse.
I figure this is probably a good starting point for someone who plans to modify it, and knows they want to upgrade the front axle already.
Just asking to get back what I paid for it, I need the money to put into my daily driver.
