Anybody running a PowerTrax No-Slip in the rear?

I watched a couple install videos for the No-Slip and it looks a lot like a normal lunchbox locker EXCEPT is has a couple of sleeves internally that look like they allow the axles to rotate at different speeds during a corner.  I think of it as having a little slop between the axles.  My guess is that if you jacked up the rear axle and held one wheel, you would be able to rotate the other wheel maybe 15 or 20 degrees before the locker stops rotation.  This would be enough to keep the locker from having the tires scrub in a corner.  Seems like it would be great in a light Jeep.

The Full Case Detroit in my TJ acts similarly I think.  You don't even realize it's in there on the street.

I had a Powertrax and 4.56 in the D35 on my old YJ.  It behaved pretty much like the D44 with the Detroit locker that I swapped in later on.  Pretty predictable around town.  Of course if you give it gas out of a turn - it would lock and chirp the inner tire...

I've had the same one in the corp 8.25 since 2006. I think it was about $400 back then.
Very well made. I'd go with a no-slip over a lock-rite anytime.
It's locked unless cornering.
Terry you are correct. It's great in a daily driver if it's in the rear.
It allows the outer wheel to outrun the inside wheel, but it will not allow the inner one to turn slower.
It still chirps, barks and de-spools with a loud snapping {{clink}} like a regular locker if you are on the gas cornering.
You might have to grind the crown of a couple ring gear teeth to get the cross-pin in, No biggie.

It keeps you in a straight line when driving on the street in snow and ice in 2wd.

I have the opposite experience in my TJ, the read Detroit is quiet, the front loc-rite is so loud ! especially when it is loaded and then unloads rapidly

I have a full case Detroit front locker and I don't notice any noise, but in the snow it locks and pulls the front end towards the side of the road...

If I remember correctly, the real difference between the 2 is that the no slip is supposed to be quieter, and a little more invisible, and costs about $100 more.  So supposed to be better for daily drivers.  Aside from that I think they are both basic lunchbox lockers function wise.  I had the lock right in the front for a few years.  I was going to do the no slip for the quiet but saved the $100.  The noise was there but it wasn’t bothersome to me.  Sometimes it would ratchet and occasionally it would give a louder bang switching from 4WD to 2WD. As far as driving with it in the front on the road it was basically invisible.  Couldn’t say about the back. I was happy with mine for the couple of years I had it.
