What did you do to your Jeep today?

I gave my WJ a nice wash, but ready to get it dirty again.
Look forward to this year's off road adventures.

Found a cracked rear shock mount on the Black Jeep.  Sara is taking it out mudding tomorrow so I welded it up for her.  She definitely got the Jeeping Bug last weekend at the Hartland run.  She wanted to learn how to run the winch in case she get herself into trouble.  At least she is thing ahead.

drove it 5 miles to get pizza. spent the whole time wondering what all those creaks, rattles and other various noises were.

Replaced every single engine pulley bearing/accessory. New hp steering hose and pump. New fluids. Took the soft top off. Ready for Tuesday.

Make sure to take that cover off the winch every once in awhile to let air get in there and dry it

Thanks for liking it, it was a fun cheap project.
Just tape around the edge, it covers the broken chrome pieces.
The metal grille then was glued to the back of the frame.

Thanks for the tip on the winch cover.

I properly spooled my winch, I've also been working on getting stuff in the Jeep organized, tied down and easy to get to. I also made some paracord zipper pulls.

Where did you get those things for your hilift jack?

I wish I could do that. If I did, someone would steal my jack. LOL
There is a protective cover welded over one of my winch mounting bolts to prevent anyone from being able to get a socket on it, just in case. I tighten my D-ring shackles with a wrench so you can't unscrew them by hand. When the "street people" walk by eyeing the jeep up and down, they're not admiring it. They're looking to see what they can snatch off of it.

Yesterday I hauled firearms, tannerite, 2 watermelons, and a raw roasting chicken to the local shooting range.

I only changed out my Brakes to Hydroboost ,PSC pump,Hydraulic brake light switch, Adjustable propositioning valve,Hydro assist steering,Cut and made HP lines, bled system,Fixed all electrical gremlins , and ----------- Now have a workin gas gauge for the first time in 10 yrs. !!!!!  Beat that !    FjR68
