Typical Charcoal Gray WJ.. for parts or project vehicle. My daughter crashed it.
She's ok. It just sucks because it was a really nice driving extra comfy car.
I got me through a winter when I was messing with a motor for the XJ. She hit a retaining wall just high enough to face plant the axle, but it snuck under the bumper. Air bags did not deploy. (good thing) Front passenger fender is toast, The entire D30 assembly is toast, Steering is bent, Axle tube is bent, control arms are shaped like the letter Z. mounts on axle end bent. I winched it somewhat back into shape so the wheel wasn't sideways destroying property when ya drag it. Mounting points for the arms on the frame end may need reconstruction. Possible deformation of the opening for the passenger door, It doesn't quite fit right. I duct taped it up to keep weather out of the interior.
Other fender is rotted like all of them are. The interior still smells like a new car, It's never had a smoker in it.
I could keep it, build a wheeler or restore it to a driver but quite frankly I just don't have the time for a project vehicle with sketchy life left on the engine.
I like to get at least something for it. Not sure what the insurance will do for us yet. Probably not much.
I could part it, just don't wanna look at it all winter. Starts and runs fine. Just won't roll.

Doug, like I mentioned at Roctoberfest, change of plans, I'm keepin' it. I found another one, just like the first one.
One year older but only 144k miles. No motor noises and good shifting transmission. Well maintained.
We're happy. (at least until I have to deal with a covid style DMV)

I was just a dmv a couple of weeks ago, it's not so bad

You have to make an appointment on line, I had to wait 2 weeks for my local branch.

Just go to the dmv web site and almost all their forms are pdf that you can fill in and then print and bring with you

Just make sure you look at the list of what forms you need to bring with you for what your doing, as long as you got everything needed it's an easy time

Get to dmv a little early, the appointment only gets you into the building, they let me right in when I got there and then you still have to take a number and wait to be called.

With the appointments DMV was a LOT less crowded than usual which is a good thing.

.

There are also selected dealerships doing registrations. They are listed on the DMV site. My sister registered a car that way a couple months ago and was an easy process. Not sure what the fee is.
