Camera, skip the slots, just cut in for gun turrets.

From somebody who blew a D30 u-joint, which cleaned the ears, pulled out a ball joint and broke the upper ball joint, the more I learn about RCV's, the more I want them.

When you consider that Ten factory CMoly shafts are $600, the $1000 for RCV's isn't too bad.

Got mine for less than 1k. Clayton and other places sell them at list price which is close to 1100. East Coast Gear offered them to me at about 970 a number of weeks ago and I didn't bite, price went back up the next time I called. Had to look elsewhere.
For larger tires and a locked axle, CVs are the way to go.

LOL. Ooooooh, I see what they did there. HA! 60s are overrated. Built up HPD30/8.8 combo will handle my 33s all day and 35s if I ever want them

Got the axle the other day, got to wrenching last night. Turns out I must have lost a bunch of tools when I moved into my house. Perhaps they were left behind at my old apt? Perhaps they were accidentally left at friends houses, whatever it may be, I was missing some much needed metric sizes. So, the rear axle is still in, and I'm off to SEARs to stock up on tools.

Ran into a snag tonight while taking out the axles. The rear upper control arm cam bolt needs to be pounded out, the bushing is shot and is just spinning. Got some work done, and basically got the axles ready to be dropped. Going to need a new bushing for the rear arm, don't know if I want to just replace or upgrade to a Johnny Joint.

Thanks, it was the selling point. But now I feel like I want a second, detached garage for projects as this one fills up quick when you stick in the lawn and yard equipment.

They're out! We made a bit more progress tonight. Both axles are out finally, but not without a few snags. Both rear upper control arms have blown bushings which essentially makes it impossible to back the bolts out. I'm going to have to cut the bushings out to release the arms and then replace them with either Johnny Joints or poly. Not sure if I should spend the $$ on johnny joints for the rear uppers as the rear axle doesn't flex quite as much as my front.

The front axle gave us a little snag as well, the torx head bolt which holds the trac bar in rounded out when we were trying to get it out. Going to just cut the damn mount off and release it that way. Not planning on keeping the old axle anyway.

Thanks! Picked the box up for 500 bucks just after I bought the house. Yeah, a 12ft lift would be nice....
