What did you do to your Jeep today?

All stripped out ready for bedliner.
And new (to me) seats and harness mocked up ready to go in once the paint dries

Drove it to Summer Knights Car Show in Berlin.
Surprisingly a lot of Jeeps came out.

Found some broken leafs in the rear of Josh"s Jeep.  Took out a broken short one and put in a long one out of a CJ pack.  It netted about a 1 inch lift.

The CJ leaf (in the middle) was a little thicker but the arch was about the same.

Hit a milestone for my jeep this past weekend. Have it a treat and filled it with premium fuel. Here are some pics of the work done in the last couple months...

These show the mile-stone (pun intended) my new front diff slider, and the drop down tailgate with locking storage compartment (works well for handguns or other items that should be locked up)

Bad apple guard or a full cover but not that thing

This^^^^^^^^^^^^

Your not going to want that thing on your Jeep when you hit any branches or rocks.  You loose clearance.  You may even hook yourself up going downhill! :rotflmao:

Only good for speed bumps on a Mall Crawler!

It really only loses about half an inch of clearance, if that, so clearance isn't an issue. Being that it was the same price as a decent diff cover and it seems like it will protect both the cover and the diff itself I'm happy with it. I would rather get hung up on the diff skid plate than something else (as I have in the past)

And no Tom, a magazine didn't tell me to get it. I didn't want to just get a diff cover, but more of a skid plate for it. This was one of two that I came across in my search for something

For what it's worth, I installed the same front diff skid on my Rubi right after I bought it (I painted it black, though, so it wouldn't stick out so much).  I'm quite happy with it.  Never had a problem.  Never got caught on anything going up or down hill.  And I've slammed it a few times with no issues.  Don't let those non-believers deter you, Chris.

It would be rather difficult to deter me from something i already bought and installed. All these negative Nancy Nay-Sayers (quite the alliteration) can say what they want.

Those guys have been on the rocks for quite a few years and have figured out what works for them, and they are just sharing in their own special way.

You may not have any "problems" with having it on there, but you still may want to get a full cover, because a good head on shot on a rock would send that tie rod right into the stock cover and take out your ring gear.

OR you could talk to Sean (Bad Apple Fab) to integrate that skid into one of his diff guards.  That would actually be pretty freakin' cool.

No offense taken on my end (and none meant by my comment either).  I'm always willing to learn, especially from other people's mistakes/misfortunes

I relisted it in Craigslist as my buyer skanked on me, not a Jeep guy don't know why I waste my time talking to non Jeep people, they don't know anything and don't deserve my awesome CJ7
