No More Jeep

Hey everyone, I wanted to let you all know that I unfortunately don’t have my Jeep anymore. I was in an accident this past February when I was leaving campus. There was no one around me at the time of the collision. I was driving up a road and reached down to adjust my temperature and when I looked up I saw the other vehicle’s two headlights coming at me. I was still in my lane, the other driver had crossed over into my lane. He told me after that he was reaching down to grab something on the floor of his vehicle. He hit me in my back driver’s side tire and spun me 180 degrees around and ended up facing the other direction in the other lane (so I came to a stop facing the opposite direction of which I was originally traveling and In the other lane) my airbags deployed and he ripped off my drivers side mirror and smashed the rear fender flare and popped the tire he hit. I’m perfectly fine and have been since the accident! Didn’t have any injuries and even declined medical service. I even got checked out at the doctors the next day. Totally fine and lucky! It wasn’t until 3 weeks later that I found out that the frame had been twisted from the impact to where the body mounting bolts would not line up anymore. And it wasn’t until this past Wednesday, so about a week ago, I found out that it was considered a total loss.  so I wanted to post about it once I knew more about it. For now I have a little Honda Civic I bought off a friend. Already heard and thought about lifting it and getting 35’s under it to fill the place of my Jeep. Haha nah no Jeep will ever be the same as the first Jeep. It was picked up this past Monday by the insurance to be taken to a yard to I believe be scrapped.

You're OK, that's number one.  Now it will be interesting to see what you do about your next Jeep.

All those little things you wanted to change or didn't like on the last one can be rectified on the next.......

Well that’s a bummer but like everyone else said you can always get another Jeep. At least no one was hurt.

Glad you ok!  Good thing  you were in a strong Vehicle and didn’t get hurt.

All of the plastic probably absorbed the impact  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Funny you say that cause other than the obvious damage to the wheel, mirror, and airbags to my Jeep, I thought I was gonna get it back within a month. The other kid had and F150 and the impact ripped his driver side wheel off its axle. It landed up the road halfway between us. Basically I was so proud to have a Jeep!

Damn! That’s crazy. After cutting my front horns off I’m not overly impressed by JK frames. I sure hope they are beefier after the impact sections
